While Primo Tool Company, LLC is a new and innovative company, its heritage in the tool industry is both long and broad. One of the founders, Rich Maggio, literally grew up in the tool manufacturing company. His grandfather founded Superior Featherweight Tools in 1944 in Los Angeles, CA. Rich started working on the factory floor while still in school. Eventually, he took over the sales management and sourcing responsibility for the entire company. Superior Featherweight ultimately grew to be one of the most recognized and valued brands for tile, masonry, cement and drywall tools.

In 1999, the market conditions were right for the Maggio family to sell the company to a large diverse building products company. Rich stayed with the company to assure a meaningful transition. But, in time, his entrepreneurial heritage compelled him to once again have his own tool company. Initially, Rich established his manufacturing facility as an OEM supplier to many domestic tool suppliers. But, as the market evolved, it became clear to him that the best way to provide innovative tools to the Tile and Stone Trade was to develop a new brand. Rich turned to a seasoned veteran in the Tile and Stone Industry, Rick Baldini, who had recently sold his company. The combination of Rich's deep understanding of tools with Rick's successful experience selling to Tile and Stone Industry makes for a great team to bring to the market a very compelling line of tools.

With Rich and Rick's solid reputations in the Industry, contractors/inventors regularly approach them for help designing, manufacturing, and marketing their inventions. The Bucket Brush™ and Wringmaster™ are two of the new innovative tools that are included in Primo Tool Company's initial product offering. Grant Jones, a successful California Tile and Stone contractor, who has developed many products that improve the installation of tile and stone, came to Primo Tools with the Bucket Brush™. This product truly revolutionizes the way contractors' clean their buckets. The Bucket Brush eliminates the tedious and time consuming hand-cleaning process, while saving money and helping the environment. The Wringmaster™ was invented by Steve Putnik, an Australian Stone Installer that desired a way to improve his grout installation clean-up process. The Wringmaster™ provides a fast and efficient system to rinse and clean grout sponge floats.

A complete and comprehensive line of tile tools will be available under the Primo brand by the end of 2011. Included in the line, will be numerous "innovative tools for the trades" that will save time and money.
